School is out

Posted by: Louis @ 9:20 pm

Yesterday, had our first official outing. Since school was out, we took time out to practice some ‘healthy lifestyle’ and spent an afternoon rollerblading at East Coast. Present were: Jack, Dafei, myself, Angie and her hubbie, Mei Mei and Kamesha. Well, actually, William was there too but had to go ‘swimming’ after lunch!

Weather-wise, we had the works: from bright sunny day, to late afternoon downpour. Luckily it cleared up soon enough so that we could have a second session. However, that also meant that after the rain many people would head out at the same time, and a serious traffic jam near the McDonald’s area.

Worth commending are Jack, a first-timer and Kamesha, a bit rusty even though she had some classes before. Both put in fantastic efforts and good on them! Hope that Jack was still able to walk today…

We finished off a great day with dinner at Fisherman’s Village at Pasir Ris. Another trivia question: how many in our group is the only child in the family, and how many the youngest in the family!?!? πŸ˜‰

Looking forward for the next outing!

  2. Kudos to the skating masters – Louis & Da Fei. I’m neither here nor there and trying hard to learn some new techniques. Many thanks to the masters for their teaching. I’ll practise some of the new techniques this weekend.

Truly enjoyed the skating session. Like I mentioned in the egroup, it’s been a long while since i skated with such a large group. More people should be turning up this weekend – Pat πŸ˜‰

Will have to get William to try and get “addicted” instead of going for his “dry swimming”. But Da Fei will be out of town conquering the seas while we conquer the lands.

As for the trivia, find out more when you turn up for skating this coming weekend! Must mai(4) ge(4) guan(1) zi(3) first. Hope my knee has healed by then.

    See ya all soon!
